What is going on here, has this endeavor folded?I see no news or replies from support, they posted that a new version was to be released in early November and I have seen nothing.I have lost a great program and there has been nothing to replace it that will work.Give us the old one back, please.
I tried the current version a couple days ago in two computers and it trashed them,no more VNC among other things so I uninstalled them,AGAIN!!
Tech Support, please respond if you are still alive,is there any hope for us??Ron G |

No one could believe this
I can??t understand, why there is not yet the old version without the bugs still online.
A lot of users have such great problems with the new version that they could not use it anymore.
That??s for us a lot of money we have lost since 2 months cause we are cam platform girls.
In this case surely no one will donate in the future for this application.
Please give the old version back till all bugs in the version are fixed.
Then take the new one online and make it a buyversion. |

So are you still having connection problems when loading SplitCamera?. If this is the case there must be some software on your computer which is causing a problem with SplitCamera. I know it is very little help to you blaming other software but you could try removing all applications from memory/startup on one of your PC's and retrying SplitCamera. This way you know if other application's are preventing SplitCamera from running correctly but it could be some kind of LAN problem..
What kind of router are you using?, I dont think it should cause a problem because I use MIMO wireless access point linked to a *nix firewall which blocks all ports, and SplitCamera works fine on all of my PC's (not that this helps you). There is something obscure about your setup. Could be just a DNS issue, who knows...
If it is a DNS issue you could try editing C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts to look something like this as a temporary measure.

| One definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over again expecting different results. The old version worked fine in all configurations that I have encountered, the new renditions do not even deserve to be called SplitCam,not even mentioned on the same page as our old SplitCam as we knew it.The solution here is simple, give us our old SplitCam and charge for it if you must and if you need to work on your new revision do it on your own time and don't brag about what great things you have and then look stupid when you cannot produce anything. This is a bad joke........all you needed to do was tell us we had to pay for it,then we know where we stand. As it is you stole it away from us and offer nothing in return!!!!Ron Gordon |

I don't know how many SplitCamera users are out there but Im pretty sure it is more than 10,000. I think for the majority the program is working otherwise this forum would be deluged with complaints. So in order to try and help you, the developer needs to know a little more about your setup (software / hardware).
I read all your posts on this forum but I can't find any specific information except for the fact it affected your PC by "trashing them" which to be honest is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard in diagnosing a computer problem.
Does it load up?
Can you start the webcam?
What other applications do you have running at startup?
What applications do not work with the new SplitCam?
When you install it you can't boot your PC?
Try and describe your problem...and the developer might be able to identify the solution to your problems. |

The funny thing is:
All clients here are running the same System
On all Clients here the new Splitcam is running ... on this one the first time too ... but from one day on the next .... therer were the problems.
Just on one of the clients.
All clients are configured 100% identic
System: Win XP Prof without SP2
Static IP Configuration in LAN
Norton Antivirus
Softwarefirewall Zonealarm 4.0 Prof
Router: D-Link DI-604
Firewall disabled
Ping from WAN disabled
IP Filtering disabled
Some Virtual Services enabled to different ports for working on Campatforms
VPN Pass-Through enabled for PPTP and IPSec
No new soft was installed .... only WINXP security updates and hotfixes |

| I guess you tried running various spyware programs on this PC which is causing a problem. Spybot, Adaware and Microsoft malware is quite good but sometimes problems like these can never be tracked down easily, sometimes a reformat is in order and once it is working use a program like Ghost or DriveImage so if it breaks down, it's easily fixed. |
